Admissions consulting firms are rolling out app-based and AI-guided tools that aim to centralize MBA planning, improve interview preparation, and personalize school lists. Two separate initiatives highlight how “admissions support” is shifting from one-on-one coaching to scalable digital platforms and data-driven guidance. Stacy Blackman Consulting announced an admissions planning mobile app, SBC Lab’s next step, featuring a free Launchpad tool for generating school lists and timelines and an AI layer trained on the firm’s internal admissions archive. Blackman said the system is meant to guide applicants with prompts and feedback, not write essays. Meanwhile, Admissions Gateway’s Rajdeep Chimni published results showing one-third of the firm’s 2025–2026 clients gaining admission to Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, or Wharton—positioning itself as a process-driven, interview-heavy admissions “pipeline.” Together, the developments underscore a competitive scramble to convert consulting datasets and “process expertise” into productized offerings.
