A new report points to a shift from isolated AI pilots to institution-wide strategy in business education, with faculty development identified as the pivot for whether AI investments reach classrooms. The update to A Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Business Education: Exemplars and Critical Themes for Successful Integration highlights a large faculty confidence gap between instructors who have used AI hands-on and those who have not. In a College Board survey cited in the report, 95% of faculty with hands-on AI experience said AI helps students grasp complex material, compared with 60% of faculty without direct experience. The report argues that firsthand use, not general awareness, drives classroom adoption. Participation is expanding across AACSB-accredited schools, with the community of participating programs growing from 48 in January to 84 in the July update. New additions include Columbia Business School and multiple U.S. programs, as well as Docenti Global Business School in Nigeria, increasing the report’s coverage of how AI training and governance are being operationalized across geographies.
