ISTE moved to operationalize generative AI for schools at its ISTELive 26 + ASCD conference by rolling out Stretch, a chatbot built on ISTE-vetted materials rather than broad internet training. ISTE’s innovation leaders said the goal is to support research-backed instructional practice, not just speed up teacher workloads, and that Stretch includes guardrails and an educator wellness component.
