Rob Walton, Walmart’s former chairman and son of its founder, donated $115 million to Arizona State University—the university’s largest single gift ever. The funds will inaugurate the Rob Walton School of Conservation Futures focused on education and workforce development in conservation. The initiative includes scholarships, professorships, and research support, with plans to eventually offer comprehensive degree programs. Arizona State will also rename its College of Global Futures to honor Walton, underpinning its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
