Babson College named Kate Klepper as the new dean of its F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, replacing Keith Rollag and taking effect in June. The appointment brings a long-tenured graduate management education leader from Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Klepper, associate dean for graduate programs since 2005, oversaw graduate portfolios including curriculum innovation, program delivery systems, and global partnerships, with work that included AACSB reaccreditation and comprehensive curriculum reviews. A central element in the selection is her work on flexible and customizable learning, including Northeastern’s MSx program—a one-year master’s with student-directed learning pathways. Babson’s provost cited Klepper’s experience with graduate program platforms designed to support customizable learning pathways. The hire also connects to Babson history: Klepper previously served as dean of graduate admissions at Babson, leading marketing and recruitment initiatives for diverse student populations. The immediate watch item will be how Klepper applies her flexible-learning and curriculum-reengineering background to Babson’s entrepreneurship-centered MBA and to Olin’s broader graduate platform decisions in the coming admissions cycle.
