An analysis of AI course offerings across 20 top MBA programs shows Stanford Graduate School of Business leading the field, with 30 identifiable AI courses—nearly double the count at the second-ranked program. The dataset, published April 14 by GMAT Panda founder Graeme O’Connor, cataloged 191 named AI-related courses using official program pages and course catalogs. The report finds most AI instruction is elective-driven: 157 of 166 medium or high-confidence courses are optional, with only nine in the required core. Stanford’s lineup includes courses spanning technical and non-technical areas, while Harvard Business School ranks lower by the analysis count despite adding DSAIL for first-year foundational exposure introduced in 2025. For MBA deans and faculty governance leaders, the pattern suggests schools are racing to add AI content while stopping short of broad core redesign—raising questions about whether graduation outcomes will be consistent across student pathways.
