Gwynedd Mercy University unveiled a fully outfitted Crime Scene House to give criminal-justice students immersive, workforce-ready training in evidence collection, fingerprinting and blood-spatter analysis. The converted residence includes functioning kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms rigged with simulated forensic clues; instructors monitor students via cameras to replicate real-world constraints. Program director Patrick McGrain said the facility is designed to move students from textbook knowledge to practical investigative routines. Colleges nationwide are expanding experiential-learning investments like this to boost employability, improve retention and differentiate offerings in a competitive enrollment market.
