Northwestern University ended its long-running Posse Scholars program, shutting down the partnership model that provided merit-based full-tuition scholarships to cohorts from major cities. Current scholars will continue, and the university will enroll a final Posse cohort this fall, saying it will reallocate funds to support access and belonging regardless of students’ hometown or financial means.
