The Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education signed a memorandum establishing the CHEA–ANQAHE Gateway to coordinate quality‑assurance cooperation, recognition and capacity building across the Arab region. The agreement was signed at the 6th ANQAHE Conference in Riyadh by CHEA President Nasser Paydar and ANQAHE President Nadia Badrawi. The Gateway will sponsor joint research, policy briefs in Arabic and English, co‑branded events and a joint steering committee to support regional implementation of recognition frameworks. Officials said the platform aims to strengthen institutional autonomy, student protection and cross‑border recognition mechanisms.
