Clemson University’s board of trustees named Kevin Guskiewicz as the school’s 16th president following a five-month search. The 60-year-old will take over for Jim Clements, who stepped down Dec. 31, 2025, after 12 years. Guskiewicz is currently president of Michigan State University and will begin the transition as Clemson leadership continuity becomes a near-term focus for students, faculty, and fundraising priorities.
