The Anti-Defamation League reported that antisemitic incidents on U.S. college campuses fell sharply in 2025, continuing a decline after a peak during the Israel-Hamas war period. ADL counted 583 antisemitic incidents on campuses in 2025, down 66% from 1,694 in 2024, while overall incidents of assaults, harassment, and vandalism declined 33% to 6,274. ADL said the campus downturn is tied in part to a “dramatic decrease” in incidents amid steps by colleges and universities to curb protest activity under pressure from the Trump administration. The audit still flagged high violence: ADL tallied a record 203 physical assault incidents in 2025. The ADL report also highlights an ongoing methodological debate within communities about when criticism of Israeli policies or Zionism crosses into antisemitism—an issue expected to shape how campuses interpret incident reporting and respond to threats.
