Frame Security, a New York and Tel Aviv cybersecurity startup focused on “human risk security,” launched publicly with $50 million in seed funding. The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Team8 and Picture Capital, and included involvement from Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport. Frame’s platform aims to modernize security awareness training by generating AI-driven simulations that mirror how employees actually work, including voice-cloned or context-driven phishing scenarios. The company’s messaging targets persistent evidence that a large share of breaches involve human factors. For higher education IT leaders, the funding and product direction matter: campuses are high-volume targets with diverse user populations, making realistic, role-based training and measurement increasingly urgent.
