La Salle University in Philadelphia reported an enrollment turnaround driven by focused admissions and communications and by improved financial stability, leading to reaffirmed accreditation after a prior compliance warning. Enrollment rose 23% in 2024, followed by its largest first-year class since 2019 in the next cycle. The university also reported revenue climbing 40% over three years and said on-campus housing is being expanded for incoming students. Accreditation was reaffirmed in May following last year’s Middle States Commission on Higher Education compliance warning related to financial stability. President Daniel Allen attributed progress to staying aligned with a liberal arts mission and “super personalized” outreach to prospective students, including faculty engagement during campus tours and targeted relationship-building rather than relying on broad digital marketing.
