The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School secured a historic $60 million donation from alumnus Bruce Jacobs to establish its first new degree program in 50 years: a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance. Launching in fall 2026, the program will focus on advanced quantitative methods, AI, and machine learning, targeting careers in quantitative asset management. This gift is Wharton’s largest ever, reflecting growing emphasis on data-driven finance education and industry collaboration to prepare students for evolving financial markets.
