Leadership turnover is intensifying across U.S. colleges and universities as presidents face shrinking tenures and fewer leaders pursue second presidencies, according to the “American College President Study” cited in a new AGB-style piece. The article argues boards—especially those that include student trustees—need to better support “systemic change” rather than incremental fixes.
