Golden Gate University announced a set of major initiatives aimed at making AI fluency a core part of its education model. President Brent White said the university is restructuring curriculum around AI-centered learning, including replacing some traditional general education requirements with an AI-focused core that emphasizes reasoning, writing with AI, and building agentic workflows. The university also announced a School of Psychology focused on how AI may transform human behavior and launched GGU Digital upgrades intended to deliver personalized, AI-assisted instruction in its distance education. Golden Gate further described changes to assessments and expansion of board leadership, positioning the university to serve working adults with a competency-based approach that it says prepares graduates for AI-driven workplaces and reduces time spent on traditional remedial courses.
