But schools and applicants face a shifting return-on-investment calculus as generative AI begins to automate routine legal tasks; admissions gains raise questions for career outcomes and curriculum redesign. Separately, new research from the United Negro College Fund finds many high school students lack meaningful exposure to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with awareness gaps especially wide among Hispanic and White students. The findings suggest recruitment pipelines and outreach strategies are still failing to reach broad swaths of college-bound students.
