MIT Sloan announced it will launch an Evening MBA in August 2027, expanding part-time options at an M7 school. The program targets working professionals who can meet Sloan’s admissions bar but do not want to leave their jobs. The announcement positions Sloan as only the third M7 school—after Chicago Booth and Northwestern’s Kellogg—to offer an evening/part-time MBA format. MIT Sloan’s dean, Richard M. Locke, said the initiative reflects a broader effort to reach employers and students where they are. Sloan will align the Evening MBA with its existing academic rigor while tailoring the schedule to working professionals, with the program integrated into the school’s innovation-and-analytics strengths.
