A conservative policy organization launched SOURCE, an interactive database designed to track how private money flows into higher education. SOURCE draws on more than one million grants worth $90 billion-plus from over 57,000 U.S. private foundations to nearly 5,300 higher education institutions since 2008, extracted from 990-PF filings.
