IBM announced the launch of its most advanced quantum computer, IBM Quantum System Two, at the IBM‑Euskadi Quantum Computational Center in San Sebastian, Spain. The deployment positions Europe to deepen research in quantum algorithms, materials science, and financial optimization and follows IBM’s earlier European data-center installations. IBM and partners are pitching quantum as a complement to AI and urging policy support for open access, algorithm funding, and skills development across academia and industry.
