Boston University announced that Susan Fournier, dean of the Questrom School of Business, will step down at the end of the academic year and retire from the university later in 2026. Provost Gloria Waters confirmed the June 30 handoff and credited Fournier with raising Questrom’s rankings, research output, and career outcomes since 2018. Fournier’s departure follows a multi-year curriculum redesign and expanded investment in career services and online programs that materially changed Questrom’s market position, Poets&Quants reported. The planned transition creates an immediate leadership task for BU’s provost office and trustees to preserve momentum on strategic hires, fundraising and program continuity.
