Rabat Business School is positioning itself to capture a growing share of international students and faculty as Western business schools confront demographic shifts and policy headwinds, Director General Nicolas Arnaud told Poets&Quants. The International University of Rabat aims to become a regional hub, leveraging recent accreditations and partnerships to attract talent from Africa and beyond. RBS has earned AACSB and EQUIS accreditations and is pursuing AMBA to secure Triple Crown status for North Africa. The school is banking on Africa’s young demographics — more than 60% under age 25 — and shifting international student flows as U.S. and European policies grow less welcoming. Rabat’s strategy includes strengthening executive education and international collaborations like TRIUM’s new African module. For university recruiters and program planners, RBS’s push underscores rising competition for talent outside traditional Western gateways and suggests growth opportunities for institutions that build local relevance, accreditation credentials and targeted mobility pathways.
