San Diego State University agreed to pay a $300,000 settlement plus $1.3 million in attorneys’ fees to nearly 800 female student athletes alleging unequal athletic scholarship awards in violation of Title IX. The class action was filed in 2022 and claims the scholarship shortfall stretched back more than a decade.
