A new analysis from the Collaborative for Student Success argues that many states may be sending students to college without sufficient math readiness, even as high school graduation rates rebound from pandemic lows. The report finds graduation rates often sit in the 80–95% range while high school math proficiency frequently remains below 50%, with measurement differences depending on which grade and tests states use.
