New surveys of graduate and undergraduate cohorts reveal a widening gap between student expectations for AI training and the courses institutions actually offer. A national survey of MBA students found 92% want automation, data strategy and digital tech integrated into core curricula and 78% want AI literacy required for graduation, but only 41% say their programs teach these skills well. A separate poll of undergraduates found only about 31% are aware of campus AI courses and fewer than 20% have taken them. Students report using AI tools for editing and brainstorming, but want formal instruction on ethics, governance and applied use cases.
