Anthropic launched “Claude for Teachers,” a free teacher version of its AI assistant for at least a year, built with a standards-aligned teaching approach. The release—developed with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s Learning Commons—positions the tool to generate lesson plans mapped to academic standards across all 50 states, and includes access to Claude Code and Cowork for instruction-support workflows.
