The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights rescinded portions of Title IX resolution agreements that were previously used to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion. The department said earlier administrations distorted the law and that the agreements lacked legal foundation, including actions OCR took related to pronouns and access for transgender students.
