University of Colorado Boulder announced it will launch a new nine-month Master of Science in Sustainable Business in fall 2026, designed to fast-track graduates into climate and sustainability roles. Leeds School of Business plans an initial cohort of about 25 students, and the program will run alongside a parallel Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The two degrees share six common courses intended to reflect how sustainability work blends business decisions with technical and policy expertise. CU Boulder said the academic design is deliberately interdisciplinary, with shared learning spanning areas such as environmental systems, policy design, leadership for sustainability transitions, sustainable technology design, and data analysis for sustainability decision-making. Students in both programs will take core courses together.
