Several higher education institutions made major presidential and executive leadership moves this week, including Clemson University’s unanimous selection of Benjamin C. Ayers as president and Boise State University’s appointment of David Hahn as its eighth president. Ayers takes the role Aug. 1 after serving as senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Georgia, with experience spanning medical and nursing school launches, research expansion, and study-abroad growth. Hahn will assume full duties in August and is expected to build on Boise State’s roughly $70 million annual research portfolio while pursuing Carnegie R1 status. In the same leadership update, Methodist University promoted Provost and Executive Vice President Suzanne Blum Malley to president (effective July 2027) and Riverside City College appointed Eric Bishop as president after an interim period.
