Emory University elevated Chief Operating Officer Christopher L. Augostini to president, effective Sept. 1, after seven years overseeing enterprise operations. Emory’s board and leadership highlighted his role coordinating with both the university and Emory Healthcare boards during long-term growth planning. The University at Buffalo named Tufts Provost Caroline Attardo Genco as its first female president, set for Aug. 10. UB cited her experience expanding unified academic strategy, research, faculty recruitment and mentoring, and fundraising as key factors in the selection. Clemson tapped neuroscientist and former UNC chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz to replace the outgoing Michigan State University president, while SUNY Brockport named Dawn Meza Soufleris to lead from a student-development and campus-life background at Montclair State.
